Privacy notice

Last updated 11 October 2026

This notice explains what we do with personal data when you use cadencestandard.com, join the email list, use our free tools or buy from the shop. We have kept it short and plain.

Who we are

The controller is Cadence Standard Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 17246762. Our registered office address is in the footer of every page. Email: cadencestandard.co@gmail.com.

Notes by email

If you sign up for notes or the free 5S audit pack, we store your email address, the date you signed up and a short tag showing which form you used. We store this in Cloudflare KV. We send email through Resend.

  • Why: to send you what you asked for and the occasional note. Lawful basis: your consent.
  • Stopping: reply "unsubscribe" to any email, or email us. You can withdraw consent at any time.
  • How long: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your record.

Free tools on this site

Household diagnostic (Cadence Home). When you finish it, we save your 24 answers, the scores and the date under a random session code in Cloudflare KV. We do not ask for your name. If you choose to email yourself the result, we also add your email address and a summary of your score to the email list, send you the result, and send two follow-up emails in the next two weeks. We do not currently delete saved diagnostic results automatically. If you want one deleted, email us with your session code.

Cadence Home artefacts. When you save a household worksheet, we store what you typed under a random code in Cloudflare KV. Anyone who has the link can open and edit it, so do not put sensitive information in it. We do not currently delete these automatically. Email us with your link and we will remove it.

Lawful basis for both: our legitimate interests in running the tools you asked to use (and consent for the email list).

Our other free tools, such as the 5S audit and the 5-Box Loss Diagnostic, run on their own addresses and say what they collect on the tool itself.

Shop analytics

On shop pages we record a small number of events so we can see which pages and products people use: a product page view, a free sample download, and a click on a buy button. For each event we store:

  • the event type, the product and the page path (the path only, never a full web address or query string);
  • the hostname of the site you came from, if your browser tells us (for example the name of a social site, not the page);
  • the campaign tags (utm tags) on the link you followed, if there were any; and
  • for buy-button clicks only, a random click code. It is not linked to your name or email and is passed to Gumroad so a sale can be matched to the link that led to it.

We do not store your IP address, your name or your email for analytics. Nothing is stored on your device for this, so there are no cookies. Raw events are deleted after 90 days.

  • Lawful basis: our legitimate interests in understanding and improving the shop.
  • Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, shop analytics is switched off for you and no events are sent.

We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and reports aggregated page and performance figures. It is also switched off when your browser sends Global Privacy Control.

Buying from the shop

Purchases are made on Gumroad, which is the merchant of record. Gumroad takes your payment, handles VAT and sends your receipt and download link. Gumroad's own terms and privacy notice apply to your purchase. Gumroad shows us your order in our Gumroad account, which we use to give you support and process refunds.

Separately, Gumroad tells our site about each sale. From that notice we keep only:

  • the sale id, the product, the price, the currency and the time of the sale;
  • whether it was a test sale and whether it was refunded;
  • the hostname of the referring site, and the campaign tags and click code from the link you used; and
  • the country Gumroad associates with the purchase.

We do not store your name or email address in our analytics or sales records. We keep sale records for 13 months. Lawful basis: performing the contract (through Gumroad's terms) and our legitimate interests in keeping accurate sales records and measuring which links lead to sales.

Website hosting, security and cookies

The site runs on Cloudflare, which processes requests, including your IP address, to deliver and protect the site. The site also saves a small cache of pages in your browser (a service worker) to load faster. It is not used for tracking.

Who we share data with

We use Cloudflare (hosting, storage, analytics), Resend (sending email) and Gumroad (checkout). They process data for us or for themselves as described above, and some may process data outside the UK under standard safeguards. We do not sell personal data.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to move it. Where we rely on consent you can withdraw it at any time. Email cadencestandard.co@gmail.com and we will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint. We would like the chance to put it right first.

Changes

We will update this page if we change what we do, and change the date at the top.
